Argentine Jorge Mario Bergoglio becomes the new Catholic Pope!

After just two days of conclave and four votes, 115 Cardinals of the Catholic Church elected Jorge Mario Bergoglioa of Argentina as the new Pope of the church.
The 76 year old Pope addressed and blessed the church after his announcement.

Dressed in white robe, the smiling pope who has adopted the name Pope Francis  waved as he appreciated the cheers of thousands that gathered at the St. Peters in the Vatican city.

The selection and announcement of the new leader of the over 1 billion Catholics worldwide was necessitated by the surprised resignation of Pope Emeritus Benedict VI.
