Nkiru Sylvanus' kidnappers demand N100mn ransom

Barely a week after the release of Prof. Kamene Okonjo, mother of Finance Minister, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, from kidnappers' custody, the men of the underworld have decided to visit the entertainment sector for a spoil. Nollywood actress and Special Assistant to the Imo state Governor on Public Affairs Nkiru Sylvanus has been reportedly kidnapped in Owerri, the Imo state capital on Sunday night.

It was gathered that Sylvanus was abducted around Concorde hotel Owerri where she had gone for an official engagement.

The kidnappers have also reportedly contacted the Imo State Government asking for a ransom of N100 million before her release.

The Imo state Police PRO, Mr Vitalis Olugu however said he is yet to be informed of the kidnap.
